2 Years Later

2020 has been a pain in the butt.

I did do my Virtual Eagle Up Ultra.
I only finished 56 miles of my goal of 62.
I did have to take some time inside not moving due to a storm that came thru.
While I can run in the rain, running in the rain at night with high winds and lightning isn't something I am going to do unless I absolutely have to.
I am very proud of what I accomplished and am looking forward to next year.
Thinking I will change up and maybe help support a team run.

At this point, I only have 4 potential physical races this year.
Still training for the marathon at the end of Aug.

Tomorrow I will be going up to do the Chasing Bigfoot 25k.

The first weekend of Aug, I will be going up to help my brother support a friend doing doing the Badger 100. I am not good enough to pace our friend like my brother but I will take the time to do my last long run before the marathon.

The last weekend of Aug will either be the Fargo Marathon in Fargo or me doing the marathon distance during the Bigfoot 75k. I am waiting thru tomorrow to see if the Fargo marathon will publish any safety plans for the race. If they don't, I will switch to a virtual version of it.

My final races of the year will be the I35 challenge races in Kansas City and Des Moines near the end of Oct. That will be a half marathon on both Saturday and Sunday.

After I finish the marathon distance at the end of Aug, I will be switching up my training to do more weight lifting and functional fitness. I will have to keep running for the half marathons but I won't have to do the same longer distance I do for the marathon.

Who knows what next year will bring.
I would like to do some OCR races to test out my bodies capabilities.
I am also probably not going to do many races longer than 10k but I do want to work on my speed and the amount of time I can run between walks using my Galloway method.

So it has been 2 years from my WLS.
I am fairly steady in my weight.
It varies by a couple pounds but I don't worry about that.
185-190 seems to be where I am holding.
We will see how it changes once I start doing more weight lifting.
Since I am more concerned with my shape, conditioning, and fitness, I honestly don't care about the weight itself as long as I don't seem to be gaining more body fat.

I don't really plan on doing many more pictures.
Maybe next year on my 3 year anniversary.
I will maybe do more if my body shape changes as I change up my work out.

Took pictures and measurements 2 years post surgery.
I also combined pictures into a comparison from the start, to about a year later and finally now.

I am going to change my blog heading up a bit.
Most of it isn't me anymore.
I will still try to blog as I change up my workouts and try new things.
