Live Your Life As An Inspiration and In Honor

This has been an interesting weekend.

I received a challenge by Lady Westmarch of the TRMN fan group I am a member of.
I am to blog weekly and for any negative comment I have to find a positive.
I will also try to blog each week.

My events coming up:
Remember the Fallen Ruck
Operation 23 to Zero presents: 23 Hours to End Military Suicide Race
GORUCK Light Challenge - Minneapolis, MN

I will be creating public FB events for the weekends of June for my GoRuck training.
The plan is to go to Cleary Lake Regional Park and do 2 loops, 6.6 miles.
There are multiple spots along the trail, 7 I think.
Each stop I will be doing 5 push ups & 20 flutter kicks.
3 EVENTS:

GoRuck Training June 25 - https://www.facebook.com/events/201290573598291/

I was talking to multiple people this weekend about my journey.
I have decided that I have been and need to live my life as if someone were watching and could be inspired by me trying, not necessarily succeeding.
I will live my life in Honor and as an example or inspiration to anyone that sees me.

Epiphany phrase of the weekend.
I wont get to the shape I was in while a marine because that was my job then.

2 More Weeks

On June 4th I will be doing a 23 hour 25 mile loop endurance event for PTSD and veteran suicide awareness.

This winter I was basically lazy and didn't work out at all or if I did, it wasn't consistent.

In March I went in and was over 350lbs.
Even after seeing that, I didn't start doing anything about it.

I finally had to do something and I signed up to go do the Operation 23 to Zero presents: 23 Hours to End Veteran Suicide Race.

I posted about it back in April.

In what might be one of my first positive posts in a long time, I kept up with what I said I would do.
I have spent almost 24 hours on the treadmill or trail.
I have walked just short of 60 miles.
I have lost some weight but that isn't my primary goal right now.

I am happy with what I have done.
I could wish I had done more but I won't.
I am proud of what I have done and plan on keeping it up after the June event.

I need to stop worrying about not being where I was in the Marines but to just do it.
Nike got it right, Just Do It.

Below are some other sites I have found.
They are bigger people getting out there and doing it.
They aren't letting their size limit what they do.

I saw a link for an article about a girl that is overweight but still doing ultraruns.
She isn't the fastest but she is out there doing it.
And she is winning in some cases.
She is also getting healthy even tho she isn't losing weight along the way.
She isn't trying, but she is trying to get healthy.
This is what I want to do.
I know losing some of my belly fat will help me become healthier but getting out and working out will do a lot to compensate for what I have.

Check out her blog and become encouraged.
